Little Girl is homeschooled, and for the last three and a half years I’ve been deemed the school mascot (yes, in addition to being Mama’s emotional support animal – a bunny’s work is never done). Today I oversaw math – geometry specifically. The cat was out in the dining room with all of his new, ridiculous, clutterific things when the humans did something crazy and gave him more lead. They found their dog’s old long leash and attached it to Oreo’s harness leash to give him more room to roam. Hooking it to the bar stool in front of the sliding glass door allows him to salivate over the birds flying above and lizards climbing the screen room. But let’s be honest – he’ll hunt anything that moves. He even eats bugs. Because he’s a beast. Now he can almost get to the boundary of the family room (my domain), but not quite, from the dining room.
Big Rabbit had to continually untangle the moron while trying to work by him in the kitchen. Little Girl kept giggling and running over to help. Oreo was clearly getting way too much attention, so I had to turn the cuteness up. It worked (of course). I hopped up on the couch next to Little Girl’s math binder. Mama and Little Girl exclaimed, “bunny!” and flocked to me. After I was fawned over, Mama grabbed Big Rabbit’s phone since she couldn’t find her own, and I obliged by turning this way and that, giving her different angles. Supposedly I’m hard to photograph due to my black fur. My response to that is I’m not boring. Little Girl did great in her math lesson (because she’s brillant, and probably because I was near).
Easy carrot score, posing next to school books.
